Introduction

Freed (Veneers) Ltd depends entirely on Natural resources. With that in mind working with Veneers (thin sheets of wood) means we are selective in our log procurement. Today with advance cutting techniques we can utilize much more of a veneer log thus preserving one of the worlds most valuable natural resources.

From choosing furniture to building materials, you can make an environmentally responsible choice by ensuring that you consider all the advantages of wood. As a fuel, like other biomass, wood is renewable and offers environmental advantages over fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coal.

FSC is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. It was founded in 1993 in response to public concern about deforestation and demand for a trustworthy wood-labelling scheme.

The FSC runs a global forest certification system with two key components: Forest Management and Chain of Custody certification. This system allows consumers to identify, purchase and use timber and forest products produced from well-managed forests.
